This listing is for a vintage pocket knife: Vintage Unbranded Smooth Wood Folding Penknife with Single Brass Bolster.
This classic utility pocket knife stands out with its minimalist styling, showcasing clean wooden handle scales attached by brass pins and a single polished brass end bolster that gives it a wonderfully rustic, traditional European working-knife aesthetic.
The knife was made in France by an unknown maker (unmarked). The handle appears to be made from smooth fruitwood / walnut and the blade and metal parts from carbon steel. The knife's main blade is approx. 6.5 cm (overall closed length is approx. 8.5 cm, opening to roughly 15 cm). The knife appears to be from approx. 1950s–1970s.
The condition of the knife is in good vintage condition. There is signs of age and use. The knife may need sharpening, cleaning and oiling. The wooden scales are beautifully intact with a warm natural woodgrain glow and zero major chips or crack lines. The carbon steel blade shows typical light age-related surface spotting and faint sharpening tracking, but retains a nice straight profile and edge geometry.
These knifes could be used but are more intended for collectors. I've done me best to identify and describe the details of the knife. The photos are the best description, as this is the item you will receive.
