This listing is for the single old school challenge coin pictured. This coin commemorates October 2, 1986, as the date that the 2nd Battalion, 319th Field Artillery Regiment was reactivated at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. This is a version from the early 1990s or earlier with no enameling and with the engraving panel on the reverse, from back when the only challenge coin you had as a rank and file soldier was your own from your current assigned unit, identified to you by your name, initials, or nickname engraved on it, and you carried it for challenges. Absolutely guaranteed original and authentic.
