This is the adaptor that makes two RCA cables into one. It is a triple coupler: three independent straight-through channels in a single moulded body, with six gold-plated RCA sockets – three at each end.

Three channels is exactly a composite AV run: yellow video with red and white audio. The whole lead is joined in one action, with no loose barrels to lose behind the cabinet and no chance of crossing video with audio.

Check the ends before you buy

Every one of the six ends is a socket. Both cables you are joining need plugs on them. This adaptor does not connect to a device directly – it sits between two cables.

It joins – it does not split

A coupler and a Y-splitter look alike in a photograph and do opposite jobs. This one joins two cables end to end to make a longer run. It does not duplicate one signal out to two destinations. If you need to feed two inputs from one source, that is a splitter and we list those separately.

Please read before buying

• It is not a splitter and will not duplicate a signal.
• It does not convert anything – what goes in comes out, so it cannot turn RCA into HDMI, optical or 3.5 mm.
• It is fully passive: no power, no batteries, nothing to set up.

Within that, it does one job properly: it makes two leads behave as one, on all three channels at once.
