Welcome to my listing for a charming and unique item that reflects the popularity and appeal of cartoons and comic strips in bygone decades! It is a small oblong handmade scrapbook (9" wide by 6" tall) in which someone pasted 22 one- and two-panel cartoons by Carl Thomas Anderson, starring the non-speaking little bald boy Henry. I believe the cartoons (which were on glossy magazine paper, not newsprint) were clipped from the Saturday Evening Post in the 1930s. The scrapbook is nicely hand-sewn, with green pages and covers and with a nicely calligraphed title inked on the front cover. The little book has held together but has light allover wear plus a smudgy stains on the front and back. Some cartoons are partly unglued or have torn from their glue at one corner.  A one-of-a-kind item starring a comic strip character who was once immensely popular!
