These are quite large timepieces. The diagonal case measurement is 50mm. The total measurement including the crown and crown protector is 55mm. The thickness is a very manageable 14mm and with a downward tapering fixed bezel this model easily slides beneath shirt and jacket sleeves.

The standout feature on this model has to be the very detailed case work. The case is machined in three pieces. The backplate which houses the screw down back is fastened to the front plate, fixed bezel etc by way of four 8mm long fasteners. In between these two plates is the central cradle which holds the Japanese quartz movement and the crown.

The amount of detailing that has gone into these pieces is usually reserved for much more expensive models. Machined out of the top and bottom plates is the protruding crown protector which almost completely shields the 9mm dia screw down crown.

Large Arabic numerals finished in silver are spaced at 5mm intervals. Large skeletonised hour and minute hands are finished in silver and orange, tipped in white lume. The sweep seconds hand is finished in orange, tipped in white lume.

The rotating date wheel can be seen through the dial via four longitudinal grooves cut into the face. The dial is finished in a dark blue, finely sintered texture. A large white sub dial in the 6 o’clock position keeps track of the 24hr clock. A day of the week register can be found in the 12 o’clock position and is an integral part of an orange vertical strip which depicts a traffic light array.

The two piece leather strap is quality all the way. It is fastened to the case lugs by way of side screws. The screw assembly is an integral part of the bottom plate. The strap is 31mm wide at the lugs, tapering to 25mm wide at the polished stainless buckle engraved with the “Invicta” logo. Decorative orange stitching completes the picture.

These are very intricate and attractive timepieces with 200 metres of water resistance, a screw down crown and backplate and fitted with a quality Japanese movement which will give years of trouble free time keeping.
