We present a charming landscape painting in oils, the gardens at Somersby Rectory, the birthplace and early home of the British poet Alfred Lord Tennyson (British 1809 – 1892) The painting, dated 1976, is by a British northern-school artist, Lillian Codd: unknown to us but a very competent hand. The painting shows much depth and perspective, capturing the magnificence of the estate’ grounds in spring. Presented in very good condition in its original frame, this painting will look fabulous displayed
