This is a fossil lobster burrow from the famous Warden Point fossil beds. I have polished one side of it, revealing the cross-section. This is a mid-sized piece, and I may be able to offer one or two more eventually. It's an interesting structure of phosphatic nodule material, with concentric bands with different colours and hardness - relatively faint in this case. This one took a pretty good shine, which is surprising for such soft material. 4.5cm across the polished face.

A bit of consolidation with Paraloid B-72 to protect it, followed by hand-grinding and polishing.

This fossil contains pyrite, which can be sensitive and some (not all) can succumb to pyrite decay when exposed to humidity in the air. I am not sure how stable these particular ones are. They have shown no sign of problems so far, but I've only had them for a few months and can't guarantee that there wont be issues in the future. For best results, it may be worth storing these in an airtight container with some silica gel. 

Specimens will be carefully packed in boxes with plenty of bubble wrap and fill.
