Item Description:
This listing is for a beautiful vintage mid-century breakfast tea and coffee service cream and sugar set, crafted by the renowned Alvin Silver Company (Providence, Rhode Island). The set features a matching creamer pitcher and an open sugar bowl. Both pieces are beautifully designed with clear glass bodies elegantly cut with a delicate floral leaf laurel branch etched pattern.
Each piece sits firmly on a weighted sterling silver pedestal foot base, stamped "Alvin Sterling" on the rim. Incredibly rare for its age, this set comes complete in its original padded presentation display box featuring the silver foil "ALVIN - Providence, Rhode Island" logo on the lid. This is a timeless, functional set of elegant tableware that perfectly complements traditional or mid-century modern entertaining.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or fleabites on the etched glass bodies. The sterling silver bases show a beautiful, dark unpolished amber-gold patina and tarnish from age, which can be shined to a high polish if desired by the buyer. The original presentation box shows minor vintage surface shelf wear and a light corner split consistent with age, but remains completely structurally sound and perfect for gifting or storage. Please review all photos as part of the visual condition description.
