I am sadly reducing my camera collection and have this nice British post war Periflex Goldstar camera made in 1961with the 50mm/f2.8 Lumax lens. A great history camera for any collection - Formed in 1948 and sold to Guinness in 1961.
The camera is in undamaged condition - see pictures
The periscope rangefinder pops down when you wind-on as it should and the rangefinder is working. Quite a small image view
Points;-
The shutter speeds down to 1/15th seem fine but a bit sticky below 1/8th etc
Wind-on lever is cocking the shutter and moving the film all fine, just at the last bit of return is a fraction slow.
Rewind knob - I can not work out how to get it to pop down?
The lens is focusing fine with clean iris blades working fine
The optics look clear but with a light inspection ther is a little bit of dust specs - not unusual
Hopefully priced to reflect these small points
