How about using your Fujifilm G‑Mount (GFX) mirrorless camera on a large format 4x5 view camera with tilt, pan and pan capabilities? The Fotodiox Pro Shift/Stitch Adapter allows you to do just that: it mounts your GFX camera to common 4x5 view cameras (Graflok rear standard) and offers additional stretch and shift functions for precise shift and stitch shooting.

The adapter plate fixes the Graflok back standard horizontally and can be moved laterally so that you can take multiple shots of the 4x5 image field with your Fujifilm GFX camera. You use the sliding adapter to scan the 4x5 image area and combine the images into a high-resolution file using image editing software. The sliding plate has guides, position markings and a tension screw for secure fixation during recording.

With the “Stretch” system, the camera mounting plate can be extended from the sliding board by up to 16 mm. This allows you to compensate for back focus shifts that occur when using a view camera adapter and to adapt the mount to different housing depths.

• • View camera adapters position the film plane further back than the original film plane, changing the overall focal distance. To reduce this variation in focal length distance, a recessed lens plate and/or a longer focal length lens can help compensate for this.
• • This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) are interrupted.
• • Some cameras need to be set up in a specific way to use our adapters. Otherwise, you may receive a message such as “Error: Lens not attached – check lens.”
