PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This captivating vintage oil painting on canvas beautifully portrays a lively rural landscape, rich in detail and atmosphere. In the foreground, a charming rustic watermill stands beside a gently flowing stream, its weathered wheel turning steadily in the current. A winding path leads the eye past villagers in period attire—figures immersed in their daily routines—adding a warm human narrative to the tranquil scene.
Beyond the mill, rolling green slopes rise toward majestic snow‑tipped mountains, their peaks fading softly into the sky. A serene lake mirrors both sky and mountain, enriching the depth and calm of the composition. The artist’s brushwork and balanced palette create a timeless pastoral charm that draws the viewer in.
Signed in the lower right corner Anna with pencil notations on the reverse dated 1951, this piece is a window into a bygone era. Presented in a hand‑decorated vintage frame that complements its character.
Condition: The painting shows minor restorations on the reverse (small patches), a few paint bubbles near the top, and stable craquelures consistent with age. Please review all photos closely as they are part of the description.
Dimensions (framed): 28.5” W × 22.5” H
