Up for auction is an a historically significant Imperial Bronze As of Rome’s first Emperor, Caesar Augustus. Struck at the Rome Mint during the height of the Pax Romana (circa 16 BC – 7 BC), this piece features a highly desirable left-facing portrait. Left-facing profiles are notably scarcer than standard right-facing variants from this era, making this a fantastic addition for serious collectors of Roman Imperial coinage.
