Obverse with badge of Cambridge, silver medal reverses with 'CUR' initials in italics, within wreath border, bronze medal engraved for Trial Eights - 1886 within wreath border. The edges of the silver medals are engraved 'Lent Term 1886 - Capt Bradley. Cpl: Richardson. Pvt: Lea. Pvt: Mott. Pvt: Sladen. Pvt: Newman' and '1887 Lieut. S. Herbert - Cpl EA.R.Newman - Pte A.S.
