• Uncirculated Condition.
  
• The 1976 $2 U.S. Banknote was reintroduced after being discontinued in 1966 as part of the U.S. Bicentennial celebration.  After being released on April 13, 1976; collectors and members of the public lined up at banks to obtain crisp new notes. They then took them to local post offices, where clerks attached a 13-cent stamp and applied a postal cancellation dated APR 13 1976 directly onto the note. This created a hybrid currency-and-stamp collectible known as a "First Day of Issue" note.  
• The obverse features a portrait of Thomas Jefferson (1976 $2 Note released on his birthday, April 13).
  
• The reverse shares a depiction of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
