Beautiful vintage full-size 4/4 violin with an exceptionally attractive two-piece flamed maple back, figured maple neck and scroll, warm amber-brown varnish, and wonderful old-world character.

The body measures approximately 357 mm (35.7 cm).

Inside the violin is an old paper label reading:

“Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis

Faciebat Anno 1719”

with the circular AS mark visible at the right side of the label.

IMPORTANT: This violin is being sold as a vintage violin bearing a Stradivarius 1719 label. I am not representing or guaranteeing it as an authentic Antonio Stradivari instrument. No certificate of authenticity or professional attribution accompanies the violin. The label, construction and identifying details are photographed for the buyer’s examination.

John Finster is documented in violin-maker references as having worked as a maker, repairer and dealer. The presence of the Finster label in the accompanying case is an interesting historical detail; however, no claim is being made that John Finster manufactured this particular violin.

The violin shows age-related wear, scratches, finish wear and other signs of previous use, all visible in the photographs. Please examine the photos carefully for condition.

The instrument has not been professionally inspected, authenticated, restored, serviced or set up by me. Playability is unknown. It may require strings, adjustment, setup, repair and/or other work by a qualified luthier before playing.
