A very smart pair of vintage men’s tall leather riding boots in classic black leather.

These belonged to my father and are believed to be several decades old. They are clearly a well-made, quality pair of traditional riding boots, although unfortunately the original maker’s markings and sizing are no longer identifiable, so the brand is unknown.

They have been carefully stored with full wooden boot trees inside them, including shaped foot sections, which has helped them retain their excellent shape over the years. Please note that the wooden boot trees shown in some of the photographs are NOT included in the sale due to their considerable weight.

The boots are in very good vintage condition for their age. The black leather remains smooth, smart and glossy, with relatively light signs of use, including some natural creasing, scuffs and marks. The leather soles and heels show wear consistent with previous use. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

The original size is no longer visible. Based on the measurements, I believe they are approximately a UK men’s size 7, but this is an estimate only. Vintage riding boot sizing can vary considerably, so please check the measurements carefully before buying.

Approximate measurements:

* Outside sole length: 28.5 cm / 11.2 inches
* Outside sole width at widest point: 10 cm / 3.9 inches
* Overall outside height, floor to top: 46 cm / 18.1 inches
* Calf circumference at widest point: 36.5 cm / 14.4 inches
* Inside circumference around top opening: 33 cm / 13 inches
