Kirk & Son made the sterling silver Labrador figurine between 1970 and 1974 as part of their ''Animal Spirits'' miniature collection. Pieces produced in 1970 typically have no number stamped on them. However pieces from 1971 through 1974 feature a single digit date code corresponding to the year. Whereas a 2 stamped on bottom means 1972.
This one has done pretty well for being 54 years old. You can see a couple of small dings I guess you would call them. Not much. These are solid Sterling. Hard to hurt.
