" - in 1984 !!!  Or, as many of us know ... when it comes to 7/4's in the Glorious World of Live & Recorded Grateful Dead ? - well ... this 7/4/1984 ! is right up there on the top of that heap !  You know - the ' heap ' when all of your analog tapes get just a little bit ' messy ' - but hey, like I always like to say ... that just means you are doing your duty & listening to your daily dose of Live G.D. !!!  And, lots & lots & Lots ! of it too ... Whoa !!  '84 !!!  This is prime-time stuff - and then some - if you like your Live Daredevil Action !!  Both ! the ' Action ' on the Frets - and on the Stage - from the Bobby-side ... the Middle !  My goodness ... do they Drill ! this Show - I mean a good-majority of this June / July '84 Summer swing is either hot right off the bat, or - it gets hot quick !  Those " Moments of Magic ! " come fast & come quick - so, put on that seat belt !  Whoa-whoa !?!  Or, something like that ... dang.  It's always fun to go " July 4th " hunting - when it comes to Dead Shows, and yes - check-mark ! - as this one is a serious go-to ... same camp - or roughly as the 7/4/86, 7/4/89, 7/4/90 - so ... you can get the drift.  This 1st Set comes out hard ! with a Stranger - and after the Friend of the Devil - the ' rotation ' is pretty much the one that you are/were & still ! are hoping to hear - just as follows ... C.C. Rider ( Slide-Action ! ) - Cumberland ( Jerry-Action ! ) > B.I.O.D.T.L. ( B.K. / Mick-Action ! ) ... Row-Jerry Action ! ... then - a Bucket > Don't Ease gets the call ! - ( Bobby / Jerry-Action ) !  Wow !!!  July 4th, '84 is feeling real-nice ... but then - just as you might just suspect - the 2nd Set is just a no-holds-barred G.D. Powerpacked Throwdown !!!!!  Help > Slip ! > Franklin's ( 1984 !!! ) - Estimated > He's Gone ! - Truckin' ! - Around > Good Lovin' !!! - and of course, for the Encore ... Dead Set !!  I only know one person who caught this Show ... and you bet they are Very-Proud of it ! - & Rightfully-So !!  Cedar Rapids '84 - down & dirty '84 G.D. in Iowa -- on the Fourth ! of Ju~ly !!!!!!  Why-not just make this one the next pro-release ?  Hey, even Dave's Picks 104 would be fine by me ... but pretty-please - let's just let some of these Mid-'80's Cannons loose ! already.  As ' Loose as a Moose ! ' is just a.o.k. by me ... because as all of us Mid-'80's lovers well-know -- That G.D. Live-Action ! ( with Risky-Chances taken !! ) is the Juice !!!  Ain't no time to hate ! - and most definitely ... no-time to wait !  Cedar Rap~ids !! - Cedar Rap-ids !!! - '84 !!!!  Wow !!!!! ... Enjoy !!!!!!
