Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the September 12, 1982 ( 9/12/82 ) Show at the Lakeland Civic Center - in Lakeland, Florida ( FLA ! ) !!!  And as you can very-well see from the photos provided ... this one is ' All ' - Rick Griffin !!!  The One & Only ! Rick Griffin, that is - as there is no other Fillmore Poster artist just ' quite-like ' him !  Well, and if you toured in '82, the '80's or maybe ? even the '90's, then you will be well aware that this fantastic " Uncle Sam Smokin' Skeleton Winged-Skull ! " design was definitely " The " Official GDP T-Shirt to have, from this Amazing ! year for the Grateful Dead.  I myself always think of two main things when it comes to '82 Live Dead -- firstly, Garcia's tone & fret board attack !  As this was a totally transitional period, that really started in '81 where Jerry got both quicker & heavier !  I showed one of my friends the 3/28/81 video not too long ago ( with The Who ! ), and my buddy's comment was a True-Classic ! on that day ... and I'll never-ever forget it ... " Wow man, Jerry's almost playing-Metal ?!? "  You-Betcha ! he was !!!  Totally-true in so many ways, as during certain jam-points & ascensions - this was a " collectively " well beefed-up Grateful Dead Live - with some Serious Live-Attack ! ... with Pure! Rock & Roll Muscle !!  And Secondly ... these were indeed the ' early-days ' of the true emergence of the '80's-esgue Bobby Weir that many Dead Fans love & live for !  Much vocal improv, that some fans cherished, and other fans, well ... you know - " Hah !! ".  I mean let's just put it this-way, as I mean how-else - would you even put it ?!  It's 1982 - like what ? close to 45-years ago ? ... the time is Right ! for the Grateful Dead '82 Fall Tour --- and not only are you catching it in Florida ! ... but you're even doing it at the Lakeland Civic !!!  1982 in Florida ! ... I mean Look-Out for ' Scarface ' --- Ha !  Classic ...  But still-though, I mean Dang ... where in the world did my " Time-Machine " go !?!?!  And, just as you might well-expect on a ' majority ' of the '82 Fall Tour - there was High-Energy ! Everywhere !!  Alabama > Greatest! Screeecihin' Right ! out of the gate ! - a ' not ' for the faint-hearted Cassidy ! in the 4-spot - Then, my own personal-favorite from This ! 1st Set >>> West L.A. > Rooster !  With West L.A. in it's ' early ' lyrical form ( much like the 8/28/82 " First " West L.A. - just a few weeks prior ! ) - then Brown Eyed Women - All Over Now - & Might As Well ! to close Set 1 ... and Yeah ! Mighty~Swell !!! for certain.  Women & Ship ! kick of Set I in the one-two punch format, and then my fellow Fans ... Things get In-ter-resting !!!  With some Live G.D. " 1982 " Power & Fury !!! >>> Playin' ! into Drums / Space > The Wheel !  And by here, you can tell ... that it is " On Like Donkey Kong " ( to use proper '82 " terminology " and all ... Ha ! ) ... as Wheel leads into a Smoker ! of N.F.A.!!! > into ... > The Dew !!!  Ace turns the corner on a dime, and it's Sugar Mag ! time to send the Deadhead Floridians & Friends Home Real-Happy ! ... & Spent !  So, yeah ... why not hit'em with one last Don't Ease Me In ! for the Encore, and Wow ... as this-one was in the books ... as a Huge ! '82 Fall Tour G.D. Show !  And too ... the " Backstage Pass " for this Show was even on one of the way-rare " Purple " Bordered ! Passes.  I mean check out the photos, and yes - I know ... it's pretty much hard ' not ' to fall immediately in-Love ! with this Pass.  What a Design ! ... & all the Credit in the World ! ... to ' Griff !!!
