Grateful Dead Fans ! - Fans of the Mouse !! - and Fans of a Good Ol' Grateful Dead Chinese New Year Show too !!! ... The " Year of the Snake " !!!  Wow ... as this here G.D. Backstage Pass - does indeed have it all ... Mouse Art ! - an Egypt '78 Theme ! - G.D. Band Member Characters ! - Chinese New Year !! ... of ' The Snake ' !!! - and, naturally too ... the 1989 G.D. Touring Year !  Red-Hot !!!  This is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for February 6, 1989 ( 2/6/1989 ) Chinese New Year Show ! at the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center - in Oakland, California ( CA ) !!!  Just better known to Dead Fans ... as " The Kaiser " !!!  What a Sweet ! Venue for the Band - with one of a kind ' acoustics ' indeed !!!  Ha !  And ... really, I mean there is nothing just quite-like a G.D. Chinese New Years Show !!  And, making this one all the better ... it was the " Year Of The Snake " !!!  And Whoa !!! ... as what an Incredible G.D. Backstage Pass ' Design ' here too Fans - as I'm sure you're already all well aware ... this Art-Masterpiece ! is by the Mouse ! himself - " Stanley Mouse " that is.  The One & Only !!!  I assume you are familiar with Mouse's " Egypt '78 " artwork used on the Official Program, T-Shirt, Pyramid, etc.. - pretty much everywhere possible for the Grateful Dead Family's Legendary ! " Big Trip ! " to Egypt in September 1978.  Well, the original Mouse design ( only 11-Years old at the time, way back in '89 ) ... included Mouse-esque " Characters " of each stage-position of the band members - there were " Drummers " ( B.K. & Mick ) ... a " Piano Player " ( Keith ) ... a " Singer " ( Donna Jean )... and three " String-Players " ... ( Phil - Bobby & Jerry ! ).  So check out the photos of this Beautiful ! G.D. Backstage Pass ... and you will see the " Mouse Art Images " of Phil Lesh, Bob Weir & Jerry Garcia !!! ... even on a California ! Backstage Pass !!!!!  One for the Kaiser !  And as you will see too - everyone has the same-size "Axe", as Mouse didn't see the need to give Phil a bigger " Bass " Guitar.  When actually seeing them all-together, you can see how it definitely would have thrown the images apart with a bit with unbalance - as there is a definite ' equilibrium ' in having the images of each Band Position the same size - the G.D. " String-Section " in Synchronicity ! ... that's what we like !!  This Pass was only used a very-few times by the Grateful Dead ... mostly in the  Late-'80's - and even on a " Blank " Pass too one time - which was pretty cool as well.  If you're the type of G.D. Fan that only  Collects the Rarest ! - Coolest ! and The-Best ! ... well, then this Pass might Definitely ! be All-You !!!  Chinese New Year ! - of the Snake !! -- meets Mouse ! Egypt '78 Art ... at the Kaiser in Oakland - in '89 !!!  Wow ... 1989 ! - What !! a Touring-Year for the Band ... the whole darn thing, really - as this here Show was really just the Start ! of this '89 G.D. Magic !! - which was just-getting ' Brewed '.  Well Hey Now ! ... Stir it up ! - I say ... Ha !  Certainly one of my own all-time personal favorites.  Hail to the Mouse ! ... and naturally too ... to the ( '89 ! ) Grateful Dead !!!!!  Heck, I mean Not Fade Away even ' Opened ! ' this Show !! - now That ! is G.D. Rock & Roll !!! ... and Bucket !! > Scarlet !!! to open Set II !!!  Ha !!  Enjoy !!!!!
