Up for auction is a beautiful, large and selected example of Conus lemniscatus- from shrimp trawlers in 80-100 meters off Farol de Sao Tome, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Classic, very pretty and large specimen in excellent condition. Measured at approximately 58.1mm per my calipers at the longest points. Becoming a not-so-easy to get species. From the Andre Poremski collection. I cannot claim to be an expert on Brazilian Conus, but I can attest that I typically don't see these offered at the trade shows, especially with this size and condition.
As always, I'm using un-retouched photos out of my iPhone so slightly differentiated colors between pictures is something that happens inside the camera while moving the iPhone & shell and almost impossible to avoid so please excuse this. Domestic returns accepted for any reason. Postal rates have increased again in 2026 and there is also the new USPS gas add-on - 11.00 shipping with USPS Ground Advantage Package in the contiguous United States. Overseas shipping is 31.00 US. Sorry, but the rates have gone up for overseas shipping too. I'm happy to try and combine shipping as long as the overall cost of the parcel doesn't change much. I always make a diligent attempt to offer the best specimens I have (in my opinion) first. However, I consistently try to acquire more material via collecting, purchasing, and trading, Additionally, I have many shells in storage and I'm still spending time unpacking and making discoveries. Any deviation to this policy is not intentional and something that may occasionally happen. Thanks for understanding.
** I am currently unable deliver to Italy due to two shipments that have gone missing or being returned by Italian Customs for unknown reasons.
I didn’t realize until later that there was a little pice of white tape on the aperture side of the shell. I just removed it. No issues.
