MX5 Mk1 1.6 SE BBR Turbo in very good condition
It is an SE (special equipment)  of which they only produced 150 in black
As an SE it has tan leather interior, wood rimmed steering wheel, ABS and special alloy wheels etc.
This car is also a BBR version. BBR is Brodie Britain Racing.
BBR were commissioned by Mazda to produce turbo kits as it was felt the early 1.6 models were slightly under powered.
The turbo increased the power from 114 bhp to 150 bhp and the acceleration time from 0 - 60 reduced from
8.7 seconds to 6.8 seconds.
The turbo package was sold through Mazda UK dealers and backed by a Mazda UK warranty.
It is recommended to run the car on E5 premium fuel although there is a switch which adjusts the engine to run on
standard fuel if E5 is not available.
My car was converted by BBR in July 1994. I have all the paperwork and receipt for fitting.
In fact there is a load of history with the car including service history and various receipts.
I have just done an oil and filter change
I have owned the car since 2020.
Current mileage is 92641
MOT to April 2027
The car runs really well and is an absolute pleasure to drive
General condition is very good. It is not concours. There are some odd blemishes on the paintwork. It is 33 years old!          Underneath is good.
It has had the usual MX5 issue with rust in the lower wings but all that was dealt with years ago.
The car is always garaged
