Napoleon Hat Oak Mantle Clock Dated 1938 with German Gufa Mechanism Working

Up for auction is a stunning, authentic pre-WWII Napoleon Hat (Tambour style) Mantel Clock dated 1938. This beautiful timepiece combines a classic English oak case with high-quality German engineering, making it a perfect functional centerpiece or collector's item. 
The Clock has a plaque on the front which reads " Presented to Mr H.J. Potter with best wishes from his colleagues April 16th 1938
Key Features & Details:
  • Movement: Genuine German Gufa (Gütenbacher Uhrenfabrik) mechanical movement. Known for exceptional durability and quality.
  • Condition: Fully working. The clock ticks smoothly and keeps good time, there is some minor damage to the back of the rear door (please see picture 14)
  • Case Material: Solid oak with a beautiful, rich wood grain finish.
  • Era/Date: Plaque on the front dated "April 16th 1938"—a rare find from the final year of independent Gufa production before WWII.
