Scarce late 18th century edition, circa 1794 by engraver J. Russell, as issued in Guthrie's New System of Geography / Russell's Atlas. Polar projection showing Europe from Iceland and Lapland to the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Part of Africa.

Condition: As photographed - good for age but with faults to note for the collector. Toning / foxing and age browning to paper, central vertical fold as issued, horizontal creasing, some light staining. Small tear and loss to top right margin well away from printed area, rough deckle edge to bottom as issued. No colour, as issued. Suitable for framing, mounting or collection.
A lovely decorative early map showing Germany, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Bay of Biscay, Atlantic Ocean etc. Ideal for home office, study, or gift.
From private collection in Warwickshire. Will be packed flat in board, not folded.
