Cherry Red, semi-hollow and dripping with vintage character, the Guild Starfire I Bass brings a distinctly old-school flavour to the low end. Inspired by Guild’s classic Starfire designs, this 2022 example combines a comfortable offset body with a warm, rounded response that works beautifully for everything from melodic lines to full-bodied rock and soul grooves.
The semi-hollow construction gives the bass an appealing acoustic openness, while the short-scale design keeps the playing feel comfortable and encourages a wonderfully immediate response. Guild’s classic Starfire styling is all over it, from the elegant body shape and f-hole detailing to the rich Cherry Red finish and vintage-inspired appointments.
It’s a bass with plenty of personality, but it remains versatile enough to slot into a wide range of styles. The characteristic Guild sound has plenty of warmth and punch, with enough definition to keep your lines clear in a busy mix.
This example is in excellent condition, with no fret wear. There is some gentle swirling to the finish along with a few minor marks and tiny scratches from use, but nothing significant.

absolutemusic was set up over ten years ago by a group of passionate audio professionals who wanted to deliver better service and greater savings on music gear than could be found anywhere else.

We deliver all items, except items worth less than £30, by insured courier.
In most cases we can deliver items within a couple of working days. We will contact you should delivery be delayed. Exceptions may apply to non-mainland destinations, the very north of Scotland and non-UK destinations.
Before sending goods, we will contact you via email to let you know when we will be shipping and provide you with tracking information.
Most items are delivered on an overnight service ( 2-3 days for non-mainland UK and 3-5 days for mainland Europe ). If you are in the UK, but not on the mainland, a delivery surcharge may apply and the service may vary. This depends on item size and destination but for most items to Northern Ireland for instance, this surcharge is £10. For more details, please contact us.
