For sale is a nice small Victorian silver scalloped shaped vinaigrette by Edward Smith, Birmingham, 1831.

 

The outer case is in sunburst pattern with personalised cartouche

It opens to a silver gilt pierced and engraved grill with a large "Saltire Scottish Cross" and background of flowers.
2.5cm long
8.4g gross

 

Condition

In good overall condition with wear and minor marks commensurate with age. The hallmarks are clear.  The box hinge is good and in working order and the box itself opens and closes well.  The inner grill gilding is complete and in good condition.
