Baptized Peter John Sheen, he adopted his mother's maiden name, Fulton. The name Fulton translates from ancient roots as "bird," while Sheen derives from the Gaelic Ó Síocháin, meaning "peaceful one." Symbolically rendered as the "Bird of Peace," his name served as a prophetic sign of his ministry. Like the dove returning to Noah’s Ark bearing the olive branch of reconciliation, or the Holy Ghost descending in the form of a dove, Blessed Fulton Sheen sent his voice across the airwaves as a divine messenger. Through radio's The Catholic Hour and television's Life is Worth Living, he brought the peace of Christ to tens of millions. Afflicted with heart conditions in his later years, he remains a powerful intercessor for the healing of infants born without pulse or oxygen, cardiovascular ailments, and all who seek peace of soul in a noisy world.

Full Stained Glass Design:

This design features a full-stature representation of the saint. Unlike standard reproductions, our studio utilizes a specialized digital restoration process to elevate the artwork. We meticulously remove all structural "artifacts" from the original stained glass - including the horizontal black window dividers - and digitally recreate the missing pieces of the image. This results in a high-clarity, unobstructed view of the Saint that is often superior to the original photography and found nowhere else in the world.
