Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic 19th-century primitive wooden washing bat (laundry paddle). Hand-carved from a single piece of dense, durable beechwood, this historic utility tool is a prime example of early treen which features a classic folk-art heart cutout at the top of the blade. Originally used by families in the 1800s to beat wet clothing at the riverside or wash basin, it has survived in excellent structural condition. It includes a custom-made, matching wooden wall-mounting bracket designed specifically to showcase this piece beautifully on a wall.
