Description
This historical copper 2 Kopeks coin was struck in 1816 during the reign of Tsar Alexander I of the Russian Empire. Minted at the historic Izhora Mint (denoted by the "И.М." initials on the reverse), it features the iconic double-headed Imperial Eagle on the obverse. An excellent collectible artifact of early 19th-century European history, perfect for numismatists and historic coin collectors alike.
Condition
The coin is in worn, circulated condition consistent with its great age. It exhibits a natural dark, multi-toned patina, with visible surface wear, minor scratches, and slight edge knocks typical for a copper piece that is over 200 years old. Design details, including the central text, wreaths, eagle silhouette, and the 1816 date remain legible. Please inspect the high-resolution photographs to make your own assessment of its grade and condition.
