There's something effortlessly classy about this Roamer Searock. The clean silver sunburst dial, elegant Arabic numerals and warm gold-plated case give it a timeless look that feels just as stylish today as it did nearly 50 years ago. It's the kind of watch that doesn't need to shout for attention—simple, refined and full of old-money charm.

Inside is the original Swiss-made Roamer MST 523-1 automatic movement, one of the final movements designed and manufactured entirely in-house by Roamer before the company stopped producing its own calibres during the Quartz Crisis. Produced only for a short period in the mid-1970s, it represents the last chapter of Roamer's long tradition as a true movement manufacturer.

Unlike many Searock models from the period that feature baton markers, this example has the much less commonly seen full Arabic numeral dial, giving it a distinctive field-inspired look while still keeping the elegance of a classic Swiss dress watch. It's easy to read, beautifully balanced and has aged wonderfully.

The watch is in very nice vintage condition. The Plaqué G10 gold-plated case remains remarkably well preserved with virtually no visible plating loss, the original signed crown is present, the acrylic crystal is clear, and the original silver sunburst dial still looks fantastic with only light signs of age consistent with its vintage. The stainless steel screw back shows normal opening and storage marks expected from a watch of this age.

It has been fitted with a brand new brown leather strap which suits the watch perfectly and completes its classic vintage appearance.

The watch is running well and all functions operate as they should. As with any vintage mechanical watch, it has not been tested for long-term timekeeping accuracy or power reserve.
