This is an outstanding example of a 1950’s Parker Senior Duofold with a large, number 35, 14k gold nib. The high gloss piano black and the gold colour gives the pen an air of elegance . This Senior model was introduced in 1953 and was the largest in the New Duofold aerometric range until it was replaced in 1958 by the slightly larger Maxima  This is a large well balanced pen which writes beautifully. In my opinion the Senior is the best from the whole Duofold Aerometric range. It has all the style and writing qualities of the standard Duofold and the large presence of the Maxima. This fountain pen is very comfortable to use on a daily basis.

The cap and body are in great condition with some micro scratches under magnification. These do not affect the pen’s use or even its look as they are  barely noticeable. The  smooth, Extra Fine nib is great but please note that it is the European Extra Fine not the more needle point like Japanese version. The writing qualities of this magnificent pen are phenomenal and will not disappoint. Please be sure to look at all the images to enable you to decide condition for yourself.
