Up for sale is a 2008 Gibson Joan Jett Signature Melody Maker in Worn White, complete with its original Gibson hard-shell case.
This is a very cool and increasingly hard-to-find Gibson signature model built around Joan Jett's famously stripped-down approach to the electric guitar. Simple, lightweight, and made to rock, the Joan Jett Melody Maker combines a solid mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, and a single hot Gibson Burstbucker 3 humbucker in the bridge position.
The controls are equally straightforward: master volume, master tone, and a 2-position kill switch for instantly cutting the guitar's output.
Finished in Gibson's Worn White finish with a zebra humbucker, black pickguard, and Joan Jett signature truss rod cover, this is an unmistakable signature model with tons of attitude and none of the unnecessary extras.
And at only 6 lbs 6 oz, it's exceptionally lightweight and comfortable to play.
Condition
Excellent – 9/10
The factory worn finish is intentionally designed to have a played-in appearance, so the light cosmetic wear blends naturally with the character of the guitar.

There are no cracks, breaks, repairs, or structural issues.
The neck is straight and stable, the frets are in excellent condition, and everything functions exactly as it should.
The guitar has also been professionally inspected and set up by our in-house luthier. It plays cleanly up and down the neck with comfortable action, accurate intonation, and no buzzing or dead spots.
The original Gibson hard-shell case is included.

The beauty of the Joan Jett Melody Maker is its simplicity.
At the heart of the guitar is a single Gibson Burstbucker 3 in the bridge position. It's a hot, aggressive humbucker with plenty of output, strong mids, and the raw edge that perfectly suits the stripped-down character of this model.
There are no complicated pickup combinations to worry about—just master volume and tone controls and a two-position kill switch.
The kill switch is one of the model's signature features, allowing you to instantly cut the guitar's signal for rhythmic stutter effects or simply silence the instrument between songs.
The combination of the lightweight mahogany body, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard gives the guitar a lively response with plenty of attack, while the Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar provide the familiar feel and stability Gibson players expect.
Tone & Feel
This guitar is a straight-ahead rock & roll machine.
The Burstbucker 3 delivers plenty of bite and authority when pushed through an overdriven amp, with thick power chords, aggressive rhythm tones, and singing lead sounds. Roll the volume back and it cleans up nicely without losing the direct, punchy character that makes this model so much fun.
The Slim Taper neck feels quick and comfortable, while the ebony fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface with excellent articulation.
At just 6 lbs 6 oz, this guitar is exceptionally lightweight for a solid-body Gibson and extremely comfortable for long rehearsals, recording sessions, or gigs.
