From the collection of a former newspaperman, Albion Topliffe Sawyer, who worked for the Boston Post. Sawyer was also an author who wrote the novel Cavalryman. I believe Sawyer began his military career in the Cavalry, worked in WWII as a Public Relations Officer. Sawyer's father was Charles Winthrop Sawyer, who was also a noted author, wrote the book "Our Rifles" and other books about guns.
