Up for sale is an authentic, original vintage Oxford Bus Stop Sign (Stop C). This is a fantastic piece of local British transport history, perfect for transport enthusiasts, signs collectors, or as a unique piece of industrial interior decor.

Unlike older enamel plates, this sign represents the later era of transit signage featuring a heavy metal base plate topped with factory-applied vinyl graphic stickers. This technique allowed local transit authorities to easily update routes as networks evolved.

The sign displays fantastic local typography and lists several historic Oxford routes and destinations, including: 30 Wolvercote, 46 Wolvercote (Evenings & Sundays), 420 Chipping Norton (Sunday & Mondays), 525 Jericho Mini Bus (Sunday & Mondays), 526 North Circular Mini Bus (Sunday & Mondays), 527 Walton St. (Evenings)

The sign is in used, ex-service condition with plenty of genuine character, scratches, and minor surface dirt from years of roadside use.Graphics: The vinyl lettering and iconic black bus silhouette remain highly legible. There is some light peeling, bubbling, and lifting around the edges and mounting holes, consistent with age.
