These 4 pages with these superb wood engravings were published in 1614, they are taken from the famous work of Ambroise Paré, surgeon to the king, originally from Laval "The works of Ambroise Paré with the figures and portraits of anatomy as well as surgical instruments and several monsters" These pages come from the 11th book of the work, "Arquebus wounds".

Fascinating text which notably evokes Doctor Hautin and Rouen.
