Offered for sale is a Dam Busters, 617 Squadron autograph display. The display consists of the following
Firstly Sir Barnes Wallis has hand signed his own postal cover. Barnes invented the bouncing bomb used in The Dam buster raids. Secondly a 10x8 inch photograph hand signed by
George 'Johnny' Johnson - Bomb Aimer in Lancaster AJ-T which attacked Sorpe Dam.
Ray Grayston - Flight Engineer in Lancaster AJ-N which attacked Eder Dam.
Richard Todd - Actor who played Guy Gibson in the Dam Busters film. Guy led the Dam buster Raid. Richard saw action in WW2 parachuting in to France to capture Pegasus Bridge during D Day operations. Richard later starred in The Longest Day a film telling the story of this raid.
The display is completed by a 617 squadron patch. The display measures approximately 17.5 x 15 inches or 44 x 38 cm All of our autographs come with a lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
