"Treasures from Skagen in Danish Museums and Other Collections," published by Herluf Stokholms Forlag, Lyngby, Denmark, 1985, 64 pages, softcover in thick wraps, 8.25" by 7.75". Trilingual text in English, Danish, and Swedish. Scarce publication on the turn-of-the-century Danish artists associated with the coastal Skagen colony, a plein art painting group that produced numerous masterpieces of Danish art. Well printed, with dozens of color plates by the central figures of the colony, including Michael Ancher and his wife Anna Ancher, P.S. Kroyer, Christian Krohg, VIggo Johansen, and Laurits Tuxen. Recommended. In excellent condition save for light edgewear and a couple small spots to preliminary pages.
