For CB, an in-line 8 digit frequency counter with stand.
The unit is hand built by myself
and based around a PLJ-8LED frequency module, housed in a custom 3D printed
case.
The unit has a 3D printed stand
attached that lifts the front of the display by 15 degrees, making it easier to
view. The stand is detachable by removing the 2 screws that hold it in
place.
The case and stand are both
printed from the same reel of PLA-CF.
This is an RF sensing device and
as such is isolated from any dc component on the antenna feeder.
There is a rectangular on/off
switch on the front panel. On the rear panel are 2 x SO239 coaxial sockets and a 2.1 mm
x 5.5mm power socket.
A power lead is supplied with
the unit.
The two SO239 sockets are
bi-directional and can be connected either way around.
The unit reads frequency on
transmit only - when the radio is keyed up.
It is primarily for FM/AM but
can be used on SSB with an injected tone or constant whistle.
I have calibrated this against a
known 10mHz source (GPSDO) and it is better than +/- 2 ppm (however this is
an indicator not a precision tester).
This unit was originally made
for CB but may be used on the other HF bands.
Designed for low power working
up to 45 watts, so no high power please!!
The unit will run between 9-15v
so can safely be powered from a standard 13.8v power supply.
The 2 holes in the face plate to
the left of the power switch are to access 2 push buttons that allow certain
functions to be changed, if offset, screen brightness etc.
Red, yellow and blue screen versions are also available, please see my other auctions.
I have listed this as used
because there maybe slight marks where I handled it during its construction.
It will be sent securely
packaged, with tracking and requiring a signature on delivery.
