The copyright page lists the original 1909 copyright and identifies this copy as the sixteenth printing, July 1942. This classic Western adventure is set along the American frontier and follows the conflicts, dangers and relationships surrounding Fort Henry.

Brown cloth-covered boards with black spine lettering. This copy shows visible age and use, including edge and corner wear, rubbing at the spine ends, page tanning and general surface wear. There is a dark curved marking on the front cover.

The front endpaper contains a handwritten Christmas 1942 gift inscription, along with a later ownership notation. The binding remains readable and usable, and the pages shown appear complete.
