Rare Antique German Kugel Glass Grape Cluster Christmas Ornament - 5" Amethyst Blue.
This spectacular piece is made of the traditional heavy, thick glass characteristic of early Kugels. It has a wonderful subtle iridescence and shifts beautifully under different lighting. At the top is its original classic low-profile scalloped metal cap and heavy wire loop.
The glass neck cut-off is flush underneath the cap, which is a key indicator of a pre-1900 Victorian origin.
Excellent antique condition with no cracks, breaks, or structural damage to the thick glass. The metal cap is lose. Shows beautiful, authentic age-appropriate darkening/patina to the metal cap and lovely internal silvering spot-aging that verifies its genuine antique provenance. Please pay attention to the photos as they give the best description of condition.
