ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN NOVELTY FIGURAL INKSTAND SILVERED COPPER JAPANESE HOUSE BOAT c. 1910’s PURE WHIMSEY!

This is a unique and very whimsical figural double inkstand modeled as a Japanese house boat with a removable thatched roof and a duck on the deck.

The copper substrate is coming through the silver plating all over the place and it’s a totally charming effect.

The duck on the deck is an adorable and fun touch.

Comes with its 2 original (?) printed ceramic insert liners which are in perfect condition. Marked RPW INDIA THAN. If they’re not original they’re a perfect fit. Antique/vintage replacement liners sell for sbout $15-$20 each by themselves on the secondary market.

****CONDITION NOTE: The pen holder is Bakelite and it has condition issues. Some sort of roughage (burn mark?) on the body and also at the rim. See images 19 and 20.
