This is the illustrated 1922 *first edition* of GREY FAIRY and TITANIA'S PALACE by Nevile Wilkinson.    Unusual illustrated romantic children’s fantasy set within the celebrated dolls’ house Titania's Palace — (designed + built by the author) last seen within Denmark’s Egeskov Renaissance water castle …            Hardback, around seven inches by more than 9.75 tall, (about 190 mm x 250 mm if you prefer) is bound in its publisher's original decorated cloth.      Provenance: from the bookplate of Matilda Constance Ismay (1877–1963); free from further permanent inscription and markings to the text.     First edition published by Humphrey Milford for the Oxford University Press: 1922. Printed by Chiswick Press.   Although interior condition is overall good, because this original letterpress book is more than a century old, it displays minor signs of use and age — like the usual discolouration to old paper — consistent with a printed object of this vintage. All xiv preliminary pages + 112 pp main text are complete and otherwise correct. √  With Twenty-five Illustrations. Glossary. The original Application Form to become a Companion or Rose-Maiden of the Order of the Fairy Kiss still present.                                 ¶ Major Sir Nevile Rodwell Wilkinson, KCVO (1869–1940); British officer of arms, British Army officer, author and dollhouse designer. ¶     Your book, anywhere within the UK, is sent to you FREE.
