Absolutely charming bicycle accessory. Terry made a lot of stuff back in the day, mainly for cars but also for bicycles. They were very popular. This holder typically attaches to the front fork of the bike (you can probably can attach it to other parts too) so it carries your tennis racket with no problem. The attachment to the bike is made by a clamp with a bolt (included). The attachment of the racket to the holder is just by opening the jaws with your hands, no tools needed.
Very solid item, made of sturdy steel plates but with a velvet lining inside the racket clamp so it does not leave any undesirable marks on the handle of your racket.
It will be an excellent period accessory for your vintage bike. Nice and practical.
It
is in general good condition, but there are obviously imperfections
due to age. Comes complete with the attaching bolt and the original
green velvet inserts (which obviously have seen better days but still there!). Structurally it is solid, the springs are
smooth and strong. Cosmetically there is some surface rust in steel
parts which let it down a bit in the aesthetic department but make it
look even more vintage, and more importantly, it does not affect the
functionality in the slightest. It can be perfectly used as it is but of course it would be also an easy and rewarding restoration project if you want to return it to its former glory. Please check all pictures, they are part of the description. ent via Ebay or cash on collection.
