This particular lens is a fantastic choice for 8x10" portraiture, commercial, and alternative process photography like wet plate collodion.

Condition Report:
The lens has recently undergone a professional CLA (Clean, Lubricate, Adjust) service and is in excellent, fully working order.

Optical Condition:
The glass elements are in good condition. No obvioys scratches, no haze, no fungus, and no separation. There are numerous coating wipe marks on the rear element but they should not make a noticeable effect on the resulting images. The glass is exceptionally clean and clear for its age, providing excellent contrast and image quality.

Mechanical Condition:
The Betax No. 5 shutter has been fully serviced. It fires accurately across all speeds including the slow ones (1/2, 1/5) which usually stick on unserviced models. T and B modes work perfectly. The aperture mechanism is smooth, and the multi-blade iris creates a beautiful round opening. The aperture blades are completely dry and free of oil.

Cosmetic Condition:
Very good vintage cosmetic condition with some normal paint wear and brassing on the barrel as shown in the pictures, which adds a beautiful vintage patina. No dents or structural damage.
