Item Description

It has always been hard to put a tag on Gojira, one of France's most extreme bands the country's musical pallet has ever known. But then again, the band has never really sought out such a tag, instead letting the music do the talking, preferring introspection and intelligence over preconceived notions and preexisting tags. Ever since the 1996 formation in town of Bayonne in the south west of France, Gojira has been an ever-evolving experiment in extreme metal ultimately built upon a worldly, ever-conscious outlook with roots firmly-planted in an environmentally-conscious, new age mentality. "The Link Alive" is originally an incredible live DVD that shows the band rampaging the city of Bordeaux and leaving absolutely no prisoners !. It has become a legendary show in the band's career and a milestones for all Gojira fans. For the very first time, Gojira's "The Link Alive" is now available in LIMITED EDITION GATEFOLD COLOURED 2LP VINYL ! GRAB IT WHILE YOU CAN ! "This is the sound of metal's cutting edge scything through the competition and setting new standards for the future. If you like your music heavy you cannot afford to miss this. " KKKK / KERRANG "Gojira have released a masterpiece on par with anything MESHUGGAH or MASTODON have released, that sort of massive, lumbering, seething wall of sound that the listener just can't help but become immersed in" BLABBERMOUTH.
