We present a super quality landscape study in oils, a panorama, a statement piece, a lake in the forest bathed in bright summer sunshine. This is a painting by the Bedfordshire – based British artist, Elizabeth Cope. Known for her impressionist studies, with thick application of paint against neutral backgrounds, Elizabeth Cope was a prolific artist. She worked exclusively in oils, with her trade-mark heavy brush-work accentuating depth and perspective within her art. There are several examples of Cope’s painting offered in our auction.
