Ultra-rare and dynamite vintage early 70's black satin shirt jacket designed by Marie France for Quorum, the iconic Swinging 60's London clothing boutique founded by Ossie Clark and Alice Pollock. Quorum's designs epitomized both Mod and early Disco era styles, and the Quorum label is highly collectible - in recent years the clothes have been offered at both Christie's and Bonhams auction houses in England. This shirt jacket is both quintessentially of its era and yet also strikingly contemporary - slim and sleek, with stylized stitching and extended peak lapels. Fabric is high quality and supple, and the design resembles a leather jacket style, though the interior is unlined. Front enclosure of seven fabric-covered buttons. Best of all, the condition is excellent overall - the piece is free of holes or stains or rubbing, the interior clean and unsullied, the only minor defect some slightly loosening stitching to one underarm. Size UK 10, the measurements are:
Shoulders: 15"
Chest, pit to pit: 16"
Sleeves: 22"
Length, top of collar to hem: 27.5"
