This is a very lovely example of the R230 Mercedes SL 350 from 2006 has covered just 108k miles, the car has been well looked after and had a recent large invoice for replacement of the cars COMAND system (COMAND is short for “Cockpit Management and Data system". The car looks frankly stunning and is a pleasure to look at and drive!
The SL has the look of the very rare and sought after 'Black Edition' which is de-chomed with black wheels and black grille etc, this is extremely eye-catching and really does set the car off. The wheels are powered coated and in fantastic order with excellent tyres.
This particular example just also happens to have the best engine available for the SL range due to the exceptional reliability that balances lower running costs and high performance (the M112 engine can deliver noticeably better fuel economy and lower insurance and road tax levels than the V8 model).
The driving experience is especially nice in this particular example, the lighter weight suspension components and the very strong mid-range pull from the 242BHP petrol V6 engine make this SL a delight to drive and big brakes stop the car quickly and very efficiently, the 6 speed auto box is very smooth and the very agile handling is enhanced by coil springs and avoid the costly 'ABC' suspension used on the V8's (this is worth reading up on!).
