The frame measures 18" x 16" x 1.5". It is ogee-style, made of pine or other light wood. The joints are formed with mortise and tenon construction. The nails have square heads. A previous owner dated it to 1800 (tape on the back).
The embroidery is preserved under glass and has a back made of very old wood. The frame hangs from a wire between two eyelets.
