This is a really wonderful long chain dating from around 1900 to 1920.  The beautiful green amazonite stones have a chatoyant sheen in places, and sparkle with tiny mica particles, set on silver wires they are able to turn and move with the wearer and are regularly spaced between each stone by 3 beautifully designed fancy silver links of 20mm each, interspersed with chain links.  The silver has a really lovely colour and feel to it, indeed the entire piece has a wonderful smooth suppleness and rounded feel, brought to it by the handling and wearing of many years.  Elegant and versatile, this chain can be worn singly, to its full length of 160 cm, or wrapped once, twice or even three times around the neck, giving different looks depending on how you feel or what you are wearing that day. Totally desirable and a one-off piece.

Comprising 9 amazonite stones 10mm x 8mm arranged at intervals between sections of silver chain and silver fancy links. There is also a silver dog clip closure which is in good condition, and very secure.

Dates to the Art Deco period when green stones were de rigeur, as they are again today.
